Jockey Wayne Lordan completed a double at Gowran today as he steered the Henry De Bromhead trained Roibeard to win the Like Gowran Park On Facebook Handicap.
The five year old gelding was completing his third career success and was Lordan's second daily one, having landed the opener with the Jessica Harrington trained newcomer Dragon Roll
De Bromhead wasn't present and Lordan later said “I hadn't ridden him before but Henry said he was in great form.
“He said keep it simple and ride him up forward. He kept going well and handled the ground well.
“He seems to enjoy this place as he's run well here before.”
Roibeard is the Irish translation of the name Robert.
