Hilary McLoughlin's Count Of Carabass followed up his win from 2014 when successful again in the Feale Handicap at Listowel.
Chris Hayes was in the saddle this time too, and he was doubling his score on the day having taken race one for Fozzy Stack on Eire Rock.
Eleven to two chance Count Of Carabass was game, and he eventually got the better of Free To Roam by a length and a quarter.
Favourite True Companion was a staying on third, a length further back.
"I love Listowel and obviously the horse likes Listowel too as it's his second time winning here," said Miss McLoughlin.
"He won this race in 2014 on good to firm, and on heavy today, so it tells you how versatile and genuine he is. He just needed a bit of luck all year and I'm delighted he waited for Listowel to win as it's nicer to win here than anywhere else.
"That's three races Chris has won on him now."
The Stewards interviewed C.D. Hayes, rider of Count Of Carabass, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race.
Evidence was heard from the rider concerned.
Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found C.D. Hayes in breach of Reg 10. 3. (f) (force) and having taken his previous record into consideration suspended him for two race days.
