- Linehan wins again on Rock
Linehan wins again on Rock
Eddie Linehan was seen to good effect as he got the favourite Phantasy Rock home by three parts of a length in the Derrinstown Stud Apprentice Handicap at Wexford.
The Mallow rider (he won on her at Killarney too), partnering his sixth winner, led in the Ballylinch Stud silks a furlong out and despite the Rock Of Gibraltar filly going a little right inside the last she was still too good for the fast-finishing Green To Gold and Odin's Raven
Winning trainer, Willie Mullins said: "Eddie is making a nice name for himself quickly. He is a good name coming along and is well-worth his claim.
"This filly is in again at Galway on Monday and Clonmel on Thursday so we'll probably go back to war quickly. She is improving and she loves the firm ground."
Phantasy Rock was following-up a Killarney win, defying a 6Ib rise in the ratings for that.
