With a pair of cheek-pieces employed for only the second time in her career, Oilily just lasted out by a short head from Missunited in the concluding Leopardstown Club Membership (Q.R.) Maiden.
Favourite Dare To Doubt folded tamely in the straight in this mile and three quarters event. Oilily and Missunited then engaged in a gripping duel from over a furlong out. The victorious nine-year-old daughter of Dr Massini was marginally in front at the line from her four years younger rival.
Sean Byrne trains Oilily and his son and namesake rode.
The winning handler said: "She stuck at it and she's game.
"She wants the ground even drier and she'll go for the GPT (Carlton.ie/galwaycity Handicap) all going well.
"She'll go back over hurdles after that. She wants the sun on her back and good ground." (GC & EM)
