The Jessica Harrington trained Light That left behind a disappointing run at Wexford recently when causing a 16/1 surprise to win the Join Gowran Park Golf Club Novice Hurdle in thick fog at Gowran today.
Rider Robbie Power elected to be prominent on the son of Echo Of Light who eventually overcame a mistake at the final flight before then beating Sound Money who was himself untidy at the final obstacle, by a head.
Harrington later stated “at Wexford we dropped him in and he didn't like it and I think he sulked. Robert let him on today, the same as when he won at Cork, and he stayed going.
"He's as tough as old boots and is a chaser in the making. The owners (Flyers Syndicate, from Monaghan) are a great bunch of lads and really enjoy their racing."
