Liberty Island another for McCreery
With the Kildare footballers going well it is appropriate that Willie McCreery, a former player with the Lilywhites, has his team at the peak of their powers and the Maynooth handler saddled his second winner in three days when Liberty Island landed the Tote Ireland Handicap.
Like the Fairyhouse winner, Lady Look, Liberty Island also sports the Iona Equine Syndicate's silks and was partnered by Keagan Latham.
McCreery said: "That is our second winner of the season. He needed the good ground as he is by Statue Of Liberty. He is entered in a six furlong race at Naas on Wednesday and he might go there. I have a runner here tomorrow, Tony's Treasure and I'm hoping he'll go well too."
