Lenabane battles well at Punchestown
The Dessie Hughes trained Lenabane show great battling qualities after he landed the Go Racing In Kildare Beginners Chase.
Paddy Flood took up the lead on the Luso gelding five out and was headed at second last after the pair made a bad mistake.
The pair soon quickly recovered and were on terms again at the last and battled well to get up on line and defeat Sam Adams by a head
Winning trainer Hughes stated: “He showed guts there which we thought he lacked.”
“He’s a stayer a real three mile chaser and we’ll probably go for the Grade 1 three mile chase at Leopardstown over the Christmas.”
