Leegane strikes for O'Dwyer
Leegane opened his account in good style when running out a convincing winner of the Joe Cooney Memorial Handicap Chase.
Nicky O'Shea 's mount travelled well to hit the front before the last and he stayed on well when asked on the run-in to win by three lengths.
"He had a good shout. He ran in a winners race at Galway because I couldn't get him in anywhere else," said trainer Conor O'Dwyer.
"He won a point-to-point for me and hopefully will win another handicap chase. He jumps well and stays well.
"He'd like a bit better ground and will go wherever we get the ground for him."
