Those that made I'll Be Your Clown now two from two at Sligo, the 5/4 favourite from 15/8, for the Kilcawley Construction Sligo Rated Race, owe their win to Billy Lee 's ride. The in-form pilot got every ounce out of Andy Oliver's charge to prevail by a short head.
Lee made up the mind of the sweet-travelling I'll Be Your Clown from before the straight.
The blinkered son of Aqlaam probably wasn't doing a whole lot in front but Lee just kept him in front long enough to hold off Rock Critic
"He did it well and Billy gave him a great ride. He won here before and we thought it would suit him," said Oliver.
"Sligo has been a very lucky track for me. They always do a super job here and it's always a pleasure to come.
"It's great for the owners who are great supporters and racing enthusiasts.
"We'll look for a handicap for him in the next few weeks. Obviously he enjoys it around here."
