Bill Lee completed a double on his first day back at work, at Dundalk today, following his wedding last Saturday and the Group 1 winning jockey doubled his score in the second division of the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Maiden on the Ken Condon trained winner Let's
Trainer Condon provided jockey Lee with his second Group 1 win when stable-star Romanised landed the 2019 Pirx Jacques le Marois and the pair today combined for another win with Let's, who justified 6/5 favouritism in beating Twilight Man by three and three parts of a length.
Afterwards jockey Lee stated “she did a little bit too much with me in front over seven the last day and would have no trouble getting that trip in future.
“This came up over six and I got a lovely toe into the race. I could have done with a lead a little bit longer but she’s won very well at the line.
“She is a filly we always thought a nice bit of. She was going nicely in the spring but got weak on us. She grew a lot and has taken all this time to come back.
“She’s improving all the time and hopefully she can progress again.”
