Leblon sent punters home from Tramore’s four-day festival when justifying 6/4 favouritism in the mares beginners chase.
Henry de Bromhead’s charge led before two out, but made a mistake at that fence as Little King Robin followed him in second.
The pair jumped the last in tandem in full flight, but Leblon got away from it quicker and took the first prize by a length and a quarter under Andrew Lynch.
Little King Robin’s SP was 5/2 and Kalico Kim who had cut out the pace until the second last, completed the placings at 16/1.
Henry de Bromhead said: “I’m delighted for Eddie Donegan [owner]. I only got her in early June. Andrew said she only came back on the bridle in the dip and despite missing the last two she was tough and genuine and she battled well."
Eoin Doyle won 500 euro for being the leading trainer at the four-day festival while Andrew Lynch won an iPad for being the top jockey with three successes.
