Leblon battles to success
Leblon was made to work to justify her short price in the mares hurdle at Listowel.
Sean McDermott asked his mount to challenge at the second last and she got to the lead going to the final flight.
The even-money favourite was in control from there, going on for a length-and-a-half victory over First Beauty
"She was entitled to win that on her running at Punchestown last time," said trainer John O'Shea.
"She may find it hard in handicaps and should be good enough to win a Flat maiden."
