Lead The Parade Wins Bumper
Anyone taking Dermot Weld's presence, to see Majestic Concorde and Lead The Parade in action, as being significant, got their reward in the bumper when the latter ran out a decisive three and a half length winner.
Robbie McNamara (his brother Andrew had a double) rode Dr Ronan Lambe's representative with plenty of confidence and once sent about his business a furlong out the son of Old Vic quickened well to beat the favourite, The Biscuit Club
Weld commented: "He is a lovely big horse and I see him as a hurdler/chaser in time. Two and a half miles will probably be his trip. He jumps very well and he'll go for a maiden hurdle in the next few weeks."
Lead The Parade scoped badly when a disappointing favourite at Leopardstown on St Stephen's Day. (EM)
