Late Dash by Foley
Shane Foley has enjoyed a great run at this venue in recent weeks, and he gave Dash Back a strong ride to get up close home in the featured www.dundalkstadium.com Handicap.
Foley was on the sidelines for over two months after fracturing his ankle and collarbone in a fall at Bellewstown in August.
However he's really made up for that lost time since, and moved onto the 23 winner mark for the season with this success.
The five-year-old mare dug deep under pressure in the final furlong to get the better of Tornadodancer by a neck, with Mountain Coral staying on a further length and a quarter back in third.
“She nearly died back in June and was only 24 hours away from being put down. She had a very bad virus and was just skin and bone but the veterinary college did a great job. Hopefully she will go on from this, and I think she could be good enough to win a premier handicap next year,” said winning trainer Adrian McGuinness.
