Lascalahall gains deserved win
The Francis Flood trained Lascalahall gained a deserved first success in the Urlingford Maiden Hurdle at Thurles today, scoring well under another sound ride from Mark Walsh.
Walsh made the running on board the son of Milan, eventually running out a seven lengths winner over Code Of The West
Afterwards the trainer's son Fran Flood Jnr reported “it was an ordinary enough contest but he deserved the win following his placed runs. We decided to make the running with him today due to his experience and the plan worked out. He'll go back handicapping again now but probably won't stay in training over the summer."
