Lagenod stepped up on a runner-up finish over course and distance last month to take the Book Tickets At fairyhouse.ie Handicap Hurdle.
The seven-year-old gelding stalked Rightback Atya and Iknowwhereiamnow on the approach to four out in this two and a half mile contest.
He turned for home two lengths off the aforementioned pair in third and Phillip Enright soon asked him for more.
A nimble jump at the penultimate hurdle took him second in his pursuit of Rightback Atya.
He strode past that rival before the last and jumped it well on his way to a comfortable two and three quarter length victory.
He was returned the 5/2 favourite from 50/1 chance Rightback Atya. Theophilus was a further three lengths adrift in third at 40/1. Magic Sea rewarded his each-way backers with fourth at 16/1.
Trainer Rodger Sweeney said: “We got there. He did it easy enough today.
“It's nice to win one here with him. There was a few quid for him but he looked the one they had to beat.
“We'll try and pick out something else for him now.”
