Laganbank pleases punters
The concluding two miles and a furlong bumper attracted a disappointing field of just four runners but produced an exciting race with evens favourite Laganbank sending punters home happy.
Chief market-rival Ahyaknowyerself (13/8) cut out the running under Pa Murphy but the writing was on the wall as Laganbank loomed up on the outer with over a furlong to run.
However Katie Walsh needed to get serious after striking the front, and drove the Willie Mullins-trained gelding right out to prevail by two and a half lengths.
