The Eddie Lynam trained Lady Mega was the well backed winner (3/1 - 9/4f) of the Louis Roederer Handicap at Down Royal today, winning under capable apprentice Robbie Downey.

The daughter of Kodiac raced with the pace, moved past leader Little Sweetheart a furlong out and in the end scored a ready success.

Lynn wasn’t present but afterwards Downey stated “she has been a great servant, that's her fifth win now.

“Eddie (Lynam) said to keep it simple; she (Little Sweetheart) was always going to give me a good lead and something to follow.

“She's always been consistent and is an easy ride.
