The David Marnane trained La Tizona landed the Connacht Telegraph Median Auction for local owner Damian Lavelle at Ballinrobe on Monday evening.

Marnane said afterwards: "we bought him to go hurdling and he will contest one of the early three-year-old races. He jumps very well."

"Colm O'Donoghue gave him a super ride, he is riding on the top of his game and deserves more opportunities."
