Knightess gets it right in bumper
Lady Knightess showed her true worth in the concluding bumper at Wexford when scoring for Tom Cooper.
The Presenting filly had been well fancied on her debut at Fairyhouse only to disappoint.
She was a different prospect today and Mikey Fogarty produced her with a well-timed run to lead turning for home. Ciara's Oscar proved a tough rival but eventually gave way, going under by three-parts-of-a-length.
"Tom rang from Cheltenham and said he felt there was still more in her," said winning owner Ian Cunningham.
"We'll have a chat with Tom when he comes home and see where we go next.
"She wasn't right the first day and we fancied her here today."
