Elembridge King ran out an impressive winner of the novice hunters chase at Tipperary, quickening smartly in the closing stages.
Mark Scallan let his mount jump into the lead at the second last in the 2m7f event after travelling sweetly into contention.
The Brian Jordan-trained gelding showed a stylish turn of foot on the run-in as he quickly put daylight between himself and hotpot Gale Force Oscar (1/2f).
The winner had attracted some support himself, backed at 12/1 in the morning, and going off 8/1 in track.
He had won twice between the flags this year, including on his last start in a winners of one event at Largy last month.
Winning owner Sean Connick said afterwards:- "He'll probably be left off now and come back for another hunters chase.
"We were hoping he would run into a place. Hopefully he'll be ok in the morning as he's never ran on ground that fast."
