Goddess Of Love and Connor King win from Il Palazzo

Connor King gave Goddess Of Love a fine ride as she stormed home inside the final furlong to claim the Discover Ireland Dublin Horse Show Maiden at Leopardstown.
Il Palazzo attempted to make all in the mile contest but was mown down in the closing stages.
King switched his mount off the rail at the furlong pole and she found a nice turn of foot to grab the front-runner for a three-parts-of-a-length success.
The winner was bouncing back to form having disappointed slightly when only sixth at Limerick last time having been sent off 11/10 favourite.
She had shaped with plenty of promise 10 days earlier when second to stable-mate Bronte on her debut at Roscommon.
“She travelled really well and when the gap appeared she quickened up nicely. She done it really well,” said King afterwards.
“She's genuine and galloped all the way to the line. The first day she was a bit unlucky as she was green but it worked out today.”
