George Kent is hoping Shanooan can make it third time lucky when she lines up in the Floodlit Friday Nights At Dundalk Fillies Maiden on the all-weather at Dundalk on Friday.
The three-year-old ran with distinct promise when fourth and second on her first two appearances at this venue.
Kent said: "Without having had a look at what she's in against, I'd be expecting her, if everything goes to plan, to improve and get the job done.
"She's progressing the right way and she was second there before Christmas. She's improved from every race but we need to improve again.
"If she can make that step, which we're hopeful she can, she should have every chance."
The Pat O'Rourke-trained Distinct Hand was third on her course debut and is back for more in the hands of Michael Hussey.
O'Rourke said: "She ran well first time and hopefully she'll run as well on Friday night. Obviously it could be a good race looking at the opposition.
"Our one is a big filly and she hasn't filled out fully at all yet. I'm expecting a good show as I don't think the maiden the last day was too bad.
"At least she has a better draw (stall three) - she was drawn wide the last night and got no cover whatsoever."
