Having won the previous race just over 35 minutes earlier, champion jockey Jack Kennedy registered a quick double when Hurricane Georgie landed the Kinlay Hostel Chase at Galway.
Originally booked to ride Tullybeg, the Dingle man switched to the second Gordon Elliott trained runner after his intended mount was declared a non runner.
A creditable seventh in the Galway Plate here on Wednesday, the mare had no issues with the quick turnaround as she led Easy Game on the run-in to prevail by four-and-a-half lengths.
Well backed favourite Janidil had no more to offer from the back of the last, eventually staying on to finish third.
Jack Kennedy: “She’s a great little mare, she’s very tough. She’s not the biggest in the world and she prefers those smaller fields. She jumped very well there today.
“I picked them up fairly handy and I’d say she only did what she had to when she hit the front.
Confirmed as the leading National Hunt rider this week with four winners, he added: “I don’t usually have a good Galway so it’s nice to get that this year.
“It’s a great week when you’re having a bit of luck but it’s a long week when you’re not!”
