Star youngster Jack Kennedy struck again after his Troytown heroics last week, when bringing up a double for Gordon Elliott at Fairyhouse, Bless The Wings proving strongest in the marathon Bar One Racing Porterstown Handicap Chase.
Many still held chances until late in the day in this three mile five event, but in the closing stages Bless The Wings got the best of the battle with Forever Gold by three parts of a length.
Less than seven lengths covered the first five home.
"It's great for the lads (Adrian Butler and Stephen O'Connor) as they sponsor my yard and have been with me a long time. It's great to repay them, and they are great supporters of racing (their Underwriting Exchange sponsored a race on today's card)," stated Elliott, earlier on the mark with No More Heroes
"Jack seems to be getting better and better, and it's great to have him. His 5lb claim is going too quick
"This fella will go for similar staying chases, and I'd say this was his Gold Cup."
