Keen proves the sprint Queen
Queenie Keen took advantage of a high draw on the stands' side draw to make all against 26 rivals in the six furlong “Parfit, For all your mobility needs” Handicap.
The four-year-old filly made all under Conor Hoban at odds of 16/1, and kept on under pressure in the final furlong to beat Roicead (6/1) by a length and a quarter. Copper Dock (16/1) was another three lengths adrift in third, with Tsar Paul (8/1) fourth.
Winning trainer Michael Halford said: “She had a good draw and Conor gave a fine ride. She loves that ground, and has got stronger this year. Hopefully she can progress further.”
