Colin Keane brought the curtain down on a wonderful 2014 when completing a thirty one and a half to one double on Black Label in the finale at Dundalk, the Happy Christmas To All Our Patrons Maiden.
Keane sported the familiar Daly silks of Cockney Lad aboard Black Label, as the eleven times tried former Harry Dunlop inmate debuted for Ado McGuinness.
The Medicean gelding came through from mid-division to lead a furlong and a half out before in the end seeing off outsider Viaduct Joey by three parts of a length.
"He was bought at Newmarket in October as a dual purpose type. He's a big horse and he's still a bit immature.
"He'll go for a maiden hurdle now next Saturday," stated McGuinness.
Keane had earlier landed the 8.10 on Tom McCourt's Manorov
The Stewards informed J. L. Hassett, trainer that Mystery Again would have to be recertified before being declared to run from stalls again.
