Colin Keane moved two winners clear at the head of the Jockeys’ Championship with a win on prolific scorer Six Silver Lane in the opening Ladbrokes Claiming Race at Dundalk today.
The grey son of Aussie Rules made all for a two and three parts of a length win over Seanie to credit the gelding with his 12th career success, appropriately on July 12th, and move Keane on to the 38 winner mark for the season, two clear of Kevin Manning.
Afterwards jockey Keane said “he's best fresh and loved bowling along in front. He's won here over ten furlongs and I thought I'd take the sting out of them. He loves it around here."
There were two claims for the winner with the successful one (at the claiming price of E8,000) was by the horse’s current trainer Johnny Feane, who is at the Newmarket Sales.
