Keane completes treble on impressive Duke

Colin Keane continued to dominate at the Curragh this afternoon when completed a quick-fire treble aboard easy winner Duke De Sessa in the Coolmore Arizona Irish EBF Maiden.
It was also a second winner on the card for trainer Dermot Weld after he landed the opener with Eclat De Lumiere
Duke De Sessa had been a fast finishing third on his debut at Galway and made no mistake today at odds of 6/4.
Kean's mount travelled smoothly on the rail before cruising to the front passing the two furlong pole.
He was asked to stretch away over a furlong out and went on to post a comprehensive four-and-three-quarter length win over Adonis
“He did that very nicely and did what we expected him to do. He's a lovely colt,” said Weld.
“He was probably unlucky not to win in Galway but he's progressed from that and learned from that day. You could call him a winner a long way down there.
“He'll have one more run this year in a group race. I'll speak with Maurice Regan and see which one we'll pick.
“He's a very smart colt and a lovely horse to look forward to, a potential Guineas horse for next year.”
