Colin Keane and Ger Lyons completed a quick double at Naas this afternoon when Soul Search took the concluding fillies maiden.
The 2/5 shot tracked the leaders in the seven-furlong contest before coming with her challenge on the outer a furlong-and-a-half from home.
She soon hit the front and always looked in control in the closing stages as Ya Beauty stuck to her task well on the far side to get within half a length.
Soul Search brought a rating of 105 into the race having been a close third to Alpine Star in the Group 2 Debutante last season as well as finishing fourth to Love in the Group 1 Moyglare.
The winner had finished 10th of 11 in the Irish 1,000 Guineas on her return and Shane Lyons said:- “She ran well in the Guineas when the ground was a bit quick for her.
“That was a nice confidence booster and Colin gave her a lovely ride to make it feel like a piece of work.
“She’s entered in plenty of black type races. Seven probably is her best trip at the moment and eventually a mile. Hopefully she will have a bit of luck through the summer.”
