Kauto Star is the star attraction on day two of the Punchestown Festival today, appearing in the eight runner €160,000 Guinness Gold Cup.

The dual Gold Cup winner’s previous run saw him running a cracking race in defeat in the Gold Cup at Cheltenham, where he finished third to Long Run. Today Kauto Star is generally priced the 5/4 favourite to end his season on a high.

Opposing Kauto Star today is Aintree winner Nacarat Hennessy Gold Cup winner Kempes while Tranquil Sea Roberto Goldback Rare Bob Follow The Plan and Vic Venturi complete the line-up.
