Katie Wins Again for Cotter
The predicted match between Azana and Nazdaq (saddle slipped early) in the Goresbridge Handicap Hurdle failed to materialise (it was 10/1 bar the pair) as Cruising Katie (a 16/1 shot) beat off Unforgettable and Gaspar
Cruising Katie was a first winner for trainer, Richard Cotter from Ballynoe, Co. Cork, when she scored at Tramore on New Year's Eve.
He said of the Andrew Thornton-partnered winner: "She ran on bottomless ground at Limerick the last day in a listed hurdle. She was in off a handy weight today and she is a tough mare and she gets further."
The Cotter-trained Longueville Quest was placed a lot of times without winning in the past. (EM)
