Kanesh lands Taste of Ulster
Kanesh has a couple of falls to his name but the Fruits Of Love gelding put it all together to come out best in the Taste of Ulster Hunters Chase under Chris Cully at Downpatrick.
Runner-up to no less than Backstage at Kirkistown last time, Kanesh, a three time winner 'between the flags' got the better of it with Island Peak from the last with Lord Multifix never quite getting there back in third.
Cully sported the well-known Brendan Sweeney of Charlies First (won seven races for Peter Casey) on Kanesh. He is trained by Mark Fagan of Duchess Of Foxland fame. Fagan was leading up Kanesh on this occasion. Ballyvoneen Bold Ali and The Magherally Man fell four out here bringing down Kircassock Vic Meanwhile Share Wood was behind when falling two out whilst Michael O'Hare's bad day got worse with Vincent Pipe unseating early on.
