Joyce and Mullins in the wars at Naas
Jockeys Adrian Joyce and Emmet Mullins were in the wars for different reasons at Naas today, the first receiving a ten day suspension while Mullins was taken to Naas hospital for x-rays on his ribs.
Mullins received a fall from Mystic Mayfly at the second last flight in the opening maiden hurdle and was subsequently taken for x-rays on his ribs.
Joyce, on the other hand, received a ten day suspension for dangerous riding, following an incident for his ride on Slapper in the Martinstown Opportunity Handicap Hurdle. Charminamix under Niki O'Shea, was forced out through the running rail approaching two out, following a bumping 'domino affect' in which the Stewards subsequently deemed Joyce responsible.
