Joy as Boynagh makes it 2 on the bounce
Seamie Heffernan bounced back from a fall at the Curragh yesterday off My Blue Heaven which he was "a bit sore after" by getting Boynagh Joy home by a length in the Curragh Café At TRI Equestrian Handicap.
The winning James Halpin-trained daughter of Definite Article was following-up a success from Dundalk 17 days ago. Here she led well inside the final furlong to beat Balladiene
Halpin commented: "She had a little bit of a setback in mid-season but she has come back well. I was a bit concerned about the ground but she has a lot of spirit which is a help.
"She could go to Navan for a fillies handicap next week. It's over a mile and a quarter and I think she might get that trip."
Heffernan complimented Halpin by saying: "He is very sharp as he has done a great job with the handful of horses that he has."
