Joseph completes 'full set' as Hamilton doubles up

Tom Hamilton completed a quick double when partnering 1/1 favourite Vega Magnifico to win the concluding Gilna's Cottage Inn (Q.R.) Race.
Successful, despite a slipped saddle, on Punk Poet in the previous contest, this was much more straightforward for the Scottish amateur who is based with the winner's trainer Joseph O'Brien.
Always prominent, the 98-rated gelding led over two furlongs out and, despite being inclined to edge left, kept on well to account for Indulging by two and three-quarter lengths.
Not beaten far when third in a Leopardstown Listed contest in June, the four-year-old is owned by Rectory Road Holdings Limited.
O'Brien was completing an across-the-cards double after Thunder Roll s win in the feature race at Galway and this first Laytown success means he has now trained a winner at every track in Ireland.
Hamilton said: "He travelled easily and when I said 'go', I just wanted to be positive on him and make up his mind.
"To be fair to him, his class pulled through and he put the race to bed. I was happy to pull him to the rail."
