Jonnie wins for O'Leary/Madden
The Tom O'Leary trained Brave Jonnie ran out the four and a half lengths winner of the Fundraising Opportunities at Tipperary Racecourse Handicap Chase at Tipperary tonight.
Ably ridden by Niall Madden, the son of Needle Gun was produced with a well timed challenge to lead at the second last, staying on well to defeat Droim Toll
Afterwards a delighted O'Leary stated "I had Brave Jonnie 95% written off as useless before he was third at Cork the last day and he just seems to have improved - he had been showing nothing at home!"
He added "we'll go for a winners' race or handicap next - he seems to go on any ground."
