Johann Bach credited his trainer Pat Harney with a second winner at Dundalk this evening, claiming his own second race at the venue, the Christmas Party Nights at Dundalk Handicap, under Emmet McNamara.
The son of Oratorio arrived with his challenge late on and edged ahead near the line for a neck win over Sharjah
Afterwards Harney, who trains at Ballybeg, near Rhode Co. Offaly, said “he won a maiden for us here a few years ago and was unlucky last year when he had a few bad runs on grass and developed a sore shoulder. I was hopeful coming here tonight.
“I've three in training at the moment, and we breed a few as well.”
