Following on from Bouquet Garni in the first split half-an-hour earlier, Edward O'Grady and Andrew Slattery had to settle for the runner-up spot again in division two of the Awards And Gifts Handicap as Takechancejimmy landed the spoils at Bellewstown.
Bouquet Garni finished two and a half lengths off the victorious, War Room but also for O'Grady and Slattery Fair Game got a lot closer to Takeachancejimmy going down by just a neck.
For Nigel Slevin and Rory Cleary the quick returning Takeachancejimmy made all before holding on here, after his Curragh third placing four days back.
"Rory said he just held on and the trip was too far for him. We'll be dropping him back the next day but it's great to get it," said Slevin.
"He got in over five the other day and it wasn't really the plan to run him but we said we had to go when he was getting in. He surprised me a bit at the Curragh as we always thought he was a six (furlong) horse."
