Jarob opened his account over fences in good style when claiming the Emerald Facility Services Beginners Chase at Navan.
Keith Donoghue has his mount handy throughout and he jumped up to dispute with 7/4 favourite Full Cry at the fourth last in the two-and-a-half mile contest.
Andrew Lynch 's charge went on going to the final fence and kept on well, when asked for an effort, on the run-in to hold the run of Georges Conn by a length-and-a-quarter. Full Cry was back in third.
The 5/2 winner was returning to the larger obstacles having scored over timber at Bellewstown last month.
"We've schooled him plenty, and he jumps brilliant at home. He's getting more confidence all the time," said Lynch.
"He loves that ground and is not a winter horse. If it stays like that he could run again in two or three weeks' time.
"He wants further, and I've always felt he could be an Irish National horse."
