Jan Van Eyck completed a hat-trick in fine style when taking the 1m4f rated race under Shane Foley.
The Raven’s Pass gelding was claimed for 15,000 euro out of the Ken Condon yard after scoring at Navan in June, and that’s proved to be a good bit of business for current connections.
Ger O’Leary’s charge subsequently followed up in a rated race at Wexford, and completed the hat-trick in a similar event here.
Foley sent the evens favourite on inside the final half-mile and had little difficulty in beating Flight Ofthe Saker (5/1), who was under strong driving from a long way out, by two lengths.
O’Leary later reported by phone, “Shane did a great job, and we know we have a nice horse on our hands. He’ll go to Killarney later this month, and then we’ll put him over hurdles.”
