Jamsie scores for McMahon
The Frank Fitzsimons Hunters Chase at Downpatrick this evening went to the Clare McMahon trained Jamsie Hall under Mark O’Hare.
Jamsie Hall benefitted from the heavy fall of third placed, and closing, Mister Philson at the second last (indeed the winner could possibly have unsighted the faller) but stayed on well in the straight to defeat Norwich Flyer by 14 lengths.
Afterwards McMahon stated “Jamsie Hall is a summer horse and wants good ground. We’ll see what mark the handicapper gives him now and he may go to the UK.”
“He seems to improve with every run and maybe Galway could be a target – everyone can have dreams!”
