Jalmira Queen of Cooley
Jalmira has proved to be a fantastic servant to connections and on her fourteenth start of the campaign and her fifty first in all, the Danehill Dancer mare took the Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Cooley Fillies Stakes under Billy Lee for Charlie Swan.
In front under two furlongs, she was soon clear, the heavily-backed market-leader (3s into 7/4) going on to account for Kylayne by a length and a quarter. It was her ninth success.
Swan was an absentee but speaking by phone he said: "I'm more than happy with her, she's been a great servant. The plan would be to take up her invite to Dubai." (EM)
