Jake Peter continued his excellent recent progression with a fourth success in five months when landing the Irishinjuredjockeys.com Handicap at Dundalk this evening for his trainer Pat Flynn and jockey Gary Halpin.
There was plenty reaction to a recent article on this website on Flynn's career (https://www.irishracing.com/blog-item?headline=Pat-Flynn&prid=196543) and the trainer of dual Cheltenham winner Montelado advertised his abilities with dual purpose Jake Peter whose win today brought his form figures since August to '1122121'.
Following the race jockey Halpin stated “he was a bit sluggish away from the gates but he jumped and travelled. He took to the surface well and you'd be happy with him.
“He picked up well and I think that he's a horse that's improving. Hopefully he keeps going that way.
“Pat had him in tip-top shape so I was lucky enough to get back on him.”
