Jake Coen bagged his first winner over jumps when Petit Dejeuner sprang a 20/1 shock in the two-mile handicap hurdle at Limerick.

The talented claimer made the switch to national hunt sphere in the summer and is now based with Gordon Elliott.

It was a lucky 13th mount over jumps for Coen on the 'Sneezy' Foster-trained daughter of Califet.

She was produced to challenge two from home in the two-miler and grabbed the advantage before the final flight to record a convincing four-length win over New Barn Lane

Petit Dejeuner, fifth in a Punchestown maiden hurdle when last seen in June, was making her first start in handicap company this afternoon.

“It's unbelievable, it's a great thrill. She was foot perfect everywhere and I can't thank Denise, and the owners, enough for letting me ride her. She was a thrill to ride,” Coen told Racing TV.

“She jumped like a buck and quickened up well up the straight.

“I hadn't ridden her but I had seen her, I've rode work beside her . She's pretty straightforward, she travelled everywhere, jumped everywhere and quickened when I asked her. It was great.

“I kind of had to go, I didn't want to be waiting in that ground because they can't quicken in it that much.

“Down to the last she was good but pricked her ears obviously and she was looking around after it. It's a good sign and hopefully there is still improvement there.

“I can't thank Gordon enough either, since the day I started I've been schooling horses there day in, day out, and the lads in the yard have been great to me and taught me everything. I can't thank them enough either.”

One his ride in the Troytown on eleventh placed Punitive on Sunday he added:- “That was a great thrill and I enjoyed that one.

“Again I can't thank Gordon and the owners enough for letting me have the spin on him. He was brilliant.”

Foster added about the winner:- "It was her first run back, her first run in a handicap but she had been going so well at home. I think Califets take a bit longer than other horses so we let her grow up and mature. I didn't think she'd win so easy so I'm a bit shocked.

"I'm so happy for the (Untouchables) syndicate who are local and from around Kilcock. One of the best horses I've had was Supreme Touch, who they owned, so when my brother-in-law Gordon (Foster) said he wanted to keep this mare in training, I said to get the old gang back.

"Jake gave her a fantastic ride. I've always liked him on the flat and I knew he would go into national hunt in a good way. I told him to get her into a nice rhythm and didn't panic or rush her."
