Ivy bounces out quick to win

There was big confidence behind Red Ivy in the opening Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Median Auction Maiden at Navan and she justified 5/4 favouritism under Chris Hayes.
Paul Deegan trains this Clodovil filly and she made most in this near six furlong event to beat second market choice Shanghai Beauty by a length and a half.
Meanwhile a gamble on Great Wide Open failed as he finished outside the placings in fourth.
"We were lucky to get away with it and hadn't a clue coming here how it would go," said Deegan of his decision to turn out again following Sunday's run (5th in the Birdcatcher).
"She ran very well in Naas. She got a bad bang coming out of the stalls and it knocked the stuffing out of her but she rattled home. She seemed very well so we let her take her chance.
"We think she's a very smart filly. She ran very well first time at the Curragh. We ran her back quickly and she got no run in a Listed race at Naas while Dundalk was a bit lively for her.
"We could start her off in something like the Madrid Handicap and hopefully take in a Guineas trial.
"She is ground dependent as she needs a bit of a dig. She'll be a nice filly for slower ground."
The Stewards fined A.L.T.Moore, trainer, €350 for lodging a passport in respect of Whats The Plot in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards allowed the horse to run on receipt of the trainer's written assurance that the vaccinations were in order.
