The handicapper may be turning the screw on Minot Street but the progressive four-year-old was able to follow up last week's course and distance win in the Dundalk Stadium Racecourse Of The Year Apprentice Handicap.
Tom Madden took over aboard the Canadian bred Van Nistelrooy gelding and he came there travelling well on the inner in the straight.
In the end the 4/1 shot (from as big as 6s on track having been much shorter this morning) held on by a head and the same from Shadagann (well-backed favourite) and the fast-finishing Catchy Lass
"The handicapper is probably getting to him now but he's done his bit and he owes us nothing.
"He's very straight-forward and he settles which is important. He got a great ride from Tom.
"It's the first time they've all been here (winning owners, the Newlands Racing Club) which is great. Some of them have even come up from Clare and there are other members from Dublin and Kildare.
"He's in again on Friday and we'll see how he is in the morning. Whatever happens he'll come back here at some stage again." (AM & EM)
