Course specialist You Can't Catch Me rewarded his supporters with a 12/1 success in Clonmel's extended two mile three handicap hurdle.
The nine-year-old gelding strode powerfully into contention around the home turn under JJ Slevin. He soon hit the front as his rivals toiled to try and close him down.
Once he cleared the second-last the race was over as he drew further and further clear by the last.
Kieran Purcell's charge won by a healthy 14 lengths from 6/1 co favourite Courtin Bb
Another 6/1 co favourite, Coolfighter was four and three quarter lengths away in third. All About Alfie completed the placings in fourth at 16/1.
Trainer Kieran Purcell said: "He loves it here and what he wants is good ground and Clonmel. Two and a half miles is his trip and he had everything in his favour today.
"I didn't look to see what was coming up and while he needs two miles on the Flat, there aren't many of those races around but the Flat is a possibility. There should be more races in Clonmel for us!"
This was You Can't Catch Me's fourth victory in Clonmel.
