Rose Angel was popular in the betting from early in the day for the Weatherbys Printing Handicap at Dundalk. The 2/1 favourite got the business done under Daniel Redmond in the penultimate event on the polytrack.
Owned, trained and bred by Peter Casey, the Dark Angel mare, a consistent sort at the venue, gained her fourth win here over the mile, beating Tom Dooley by a length and three parts.
Gambled-on second favourite Elusive In Paris finished last.
"We'll keep her going here and she'll come back for a mile or a mile-and-a-quarter race," said Peter Casey junior.
"He gave her a great ride and everything went well. She was a bit unfortunate the last time but everything came right tonight."
