Iron Blue gained a second career success at Dundalk today as the Mark Fahey trained filly landed the Dundalk Stadium Business Club Handicap (div 1) under jockey Gavin Ryan.
The daughter of Raven's Pass won previously for trainer Kevin Prendergast at Gowran in June 2018 and today got off the mark for her new owners and appropriately named 'Friday Night Lights' at the eighth attempt when beating Anfaass by three parts of a length.
“Mark (Fahey) fancied her. She wasn't the quickest away and I took my time going around.
“I got on terms turning into the straight, she picked up well and fought well to the line. I'm delighted with her.”
